This coastal city of western India is adorned with some of the outstanding beaches of our country which beckons tourists of every age. Some of the famed beaches of Mumbai city are: -
Juhu Beach
Famed as one of the most crowded beaches of India, Juhu beach of Mumbai is truly a best place for hangout. Both the residents of Mumbai or holidaymakers from various corners of world, comes here to behold the beauty of descending sun into the azure water of Arabian sea. Due to its various attractions like Pony or tonga ride, flying balloons, paper kites and beach cricket, Juhu beach always brim with tourists of all age groups.

Located in the central suburb of Mumbai, this beach of city is easily accessible from Vile Parle, Santa Cruz and Andheri. Juhu beach also has numerous food stalls of snacks such as bhel puri, pani puri, chat masala, chana masala, Ice gola with flavours of colors like kachi keri, kala khatta and orange, which will surely satisfy your tasting buds. After spending some fabulous time on the beach, if you want you can even visit the nearby ISCKON temple to seek blessings of Lord Krishna.

Girgaum Chowpatty Beach
Girgaum Chowpatty beach of Mumbai is a place that requires no introduction. This beach of south Mumbai woo thousands of devotees during Ganpati festival as huge idols of Ganpati (Lord Ganesha) immersed from here in the endless Arabian sea. Lies at the northern end of Marine drive, Chowpatty beach is famous amongst people of all ages because of its numerous eateries. Bhel puri stalls, Ice cream shops and masala chat centres are well arranged with few children rides here on this beach.

If you want to pamper your body at a very minimal price than you must visit Chowpatty beach. It is quite famous among the visitors for beach side massage in open air. Other nearby attractions of Chowpatty beach are Taraporewala Aquarium, Queens Necklace, Hanging Garden(Kamla Nehru Park), old and beautifully carved Wilson College and last but not the least Babunath temple of Lord Shiva.

Varsova Beach
Situated to the north of Juhu beach in Greater Mumbai, Versova beach presents a scenic coastline. The gushing waves of Arabian sea touches the sandy coast of Versova and makes it a fabulous spot for evening hangout. Versova beach is a continuation of Juhu beach and segregated by a creek. This beach is home to Kolis people, the largest fishing community of the region. They are the oldest inhabitants of Mumbai city. It is a photo-perfect beach where you can click several nice photos of your magic moments.

Madh and Marve Beach
Madh jetty and Marve beaches of Mumbai are located in Malad, a famous suburb of the city. Unlike Juhu and Girgaum Chowpatty beaches, these two beaches are quite serene, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. To reach these beaches, you can board on buses or auto rickshaws from Malad station (west). These beaches are quite clean and hygiene and apt for one day picnic with your beloved person. These beaches are also famous among the lovers as a place to spend some romantic moments under the bright sky amidst the cool breeze.
