Pushkar, India
Pushkar is one of the oldest cities of India. It is one of the famous pilgrimage destination for Hindus, with 400 temples of which the most important are dedicated to Lord Brahma- the creator of the universe. The holy city turns out to be lively during the grand celebration of Pushkar fair. Pushkar Lake
The picturesque holy Pushkar lake is situated in a valley at about 11 km northwest of Ajmer. Many ghats run down to the pristine lake where the pilgrims bath in holy water. On the eve of Pushkar fair the Sarovar lake is engulfed with religious fervor, devotees take holy dip in a sacred water of this lake as they believe it will lead to salvation.

Brahma Temple
Brahma temple is one of most visited holy shrine by Hindu devotees. The temple houses a huge size idol of Lord Brahma.
Savitri Temple
The Savitri temple is perched atop of the Ratnagiri hill. Goddess Savitri, the wife of Lord brahma is the presiding deity in the temple. A magnificent statue of deity is placed inside the holy shrine, where pilgrims pay homage to seek blessing of Goddess and makes offerings.
Ramavaikunth Temple
The 20th century Ramavaikunth Temple is one of the largest temple in Pushkar. It is designed with intricate work and has beautiful sculptured images of more than 361 different images. The entrance is enhanced with an ornamented Gopuram.
Mahadeva Temple
The amazing structure of Mahadeva Temple was erected in 19th century. It is a perfect example of architectural excellence and is beautifully ornamented. The temple houses a white marble Mahadeva image, with five face.
Popular Excursions from Pushkar
Ajmer is one of the popular pilgrimage centre for Hindus as well as Muslims. The important tourist attraction is Dargah Sharif, the tomb of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, which is attended by pilgrims all over the world. Taragarh Fort, Shah Jahan's Mosque, the Anna Sagar lake, the nasiyan Temple, Adhai Din Ka Jhonpura and Akbar Palace are the other interesting tourist destinations.
Kuchaman is popular for its magnificent Kuchaman Fort built during Gujjar Pratihara dynasty. The fort houses Meera Mahal displaying miniature paintings and Lok Dev Temple treasuring fascinating paintings of Sant kabir, Guru Nanak, Sant Ravi Das, Sant Gogaji and many more. Next place of tourist interest is Kishangarh, famous for its finest school of miniature paintings. The 17th century Roopangarh Fort, built by Roop Singh is popular for its intricate artistic wonder.
