Kanha National Park located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, was the main inspiration to Rudyard Kipling for his famous novel "The Jungle Book". The core forest and surrounding area provides the perfect background for his this remarkable work. Kanha declared a national park in 1955. It has become a part of tiger project in 1974. Bamni Dadar is a heightened tourist destination, situated within the park, is popular as the Sunset Point. Apart from its diverse wildlife and bird population, Raja Rani- two giant sal trees and Kanha Museum, these two remain the most popular draw.

Jabalpur Airport is the nearest one and is located just 6 hrs away from the park. If you want to reach Kanha by train then reach to Jabalpur Railway Stations from there take state transportation's own number of regular buses. You also can get bus from Kanha to neighboring major cities. But if you want to visit the park most conveniently then hire taxi after reaching there.
